Beginnings

August 30, 2026

I was inspired to start writing by watching the fantastic 2025 Writing Lecture series by Brandon Sanderson.

That series made writing seem much more accessible.
That planted the seed, but what really caused that seed to sprout was taking a Spanish Literature Class at Oregon State University's Ecampus, hosted by Annette Rubado.

I wrote some poetry for that class, and even with my burnout state of mind, writing the poetry at 4am was more calming than most other activities I was engaged in.

I was also practicing classical guitar at the time, and saw an opportunity to actually
create things instead of just consuming them.

So I decided to put my Computer Science skills to work, and combine my hobbies on one website.

This is the first Craft Notes entry. Future ones you read will involve how I am improving.
Or at least how I perceive myself improving. The limits of self reflection are that you can only perceive yourself from within yourself, not how other perceive you.

You'll never have a complete picture, because your impacts extend beyond merely your mind and body.

This is the alt text, make sure it isn't a lazy description, blind people view this as part of the experience.
